... What? It happened! It was allowed! Even the most high energy rogues had to take days off sometimes. There was a marathon of some awful reality show on the TV - oh, also, she had a TV now, a vintage one with a great aesthetic and terrible reception! - and she had a comfy onesie on and a takeout order on the way.

What more could a girl need?

"See!" Harley replied, as if they'd had any sort of an argument going. "You're more than just a juicy butt!"

With her free hand, the one that wasn't busy brushing along his arm and shoulder, she helpfully mimed the shape of said 'juicy butt' in the air. Unless it was supposed to signify her squeezing the juicy butt...?

It was not the clearest of gestures. But it looked appreciative!

"Dunno," Marc said, thoughtfully. "Been called an ass plenty of times..."

"Just take the compliment!" Harley urged, with a laugh where the exasperation was fake but the fondness wasn't. "Sheesh!"

"Thanks?" Marc tried.

Steven wasn't the only one who had problems with those. Not the same problems, but the end result of needing a nudge on a thank you was the same.

It was Harley's turn to look bemused. "Well not if ya don't want it."

"What am I supposed to say?" Marc asked. Sadly genuine curiosity here. "Isn't it a thanks thing?"

"You're not supposed to do anything!" Harley replied, her previously gesturing hand sliding up the side of his head and into his hair. "Fuck 'supposed to'! Thanks is typical, but if it's comin' out as a question 'cause you're not feeling it, then fuck that, I'd rather you just be you."

Not that she had feelings on this, or anything.

"I sometimes suck at being me," Marc said. But he was grinning because c'mon. Sometimes you had to pick the low hanging fruit when it was your brain that was shattered into pieces.

"That's a separate issue," Harley declared. "You're not suckin' at it right now, and I got proof!"

"I'll bite," Marc said, since now he was curious in a new way. "What's the proof?"

"You're here," Harley replied. "In the body, in my lair! And you're holdin' me like I belong all smushed up against ya!"

Please enjoy the very boob-forward way she pressed further against his chest. She was making her point!

"Ain't nobody else in your skull wantin' to do this stuff," she added. "This is you, Marc. This is all you."

Marc held her tighter. Which worked as a comment on him enjoying her physical expressiveness too.

"You gotta point," he said. He tapped one finger against her back. "This one's all me."

Harley's smirk grew wider the tighter he held her. "Damn right!" she said. "And I dragged ya in here with thoughts of makin' you feel good. No one else."

"That one I do like," Marc told her, running one hand up her spine now. Ignore how what he said had some implications about their relationship. Not important.

"What, the feelin' good part?" Harley teased, with a happy little squirm. "See, you're doin' great with being you if you remember to care about that part!"

"You being specific," Marc replied. He walked his fingers down and up her spine again since it got a nice reaction. "That was good too."

It was clearly inspiring something restless in Harley. The good kind, shifting against him.

"Sweetie, I can be as specific as you like."

Marc looked around the room, then back at her. "I got what I need."

"It's the sign, isn't it?"

What, he'd looked around! She was hilarious, as always.

"Not interested in getting up close and personal with the sign," Marc said, after doing the possibly expected sigh that was his part as the - ahem - straight man.

"No but I wouldn't judge ya if you did, it's a sexy sign and we all got our kinks!" Harley replied, because she was relentless. "But anyway, no, but it sets a vibe for gettin' up close and personal with what you do want."

This stage whisper wasn't necessary, and yet:

"Me, I know it's me."

Speaking of up close and personal, Marc leaned in until they were practically nose to nose.

"You're not a what," he said, stage whisper for stage whisper.

Well, clearly Harley had to keep at it - and hold that distance, too.

"Not just a hot bod?"

"You have a hot bod," Marc agreed. "But you're not just a hot bod."

"As long as we're clear on the hotness of my bod."
