Harley was having a quiet day in.

... What? It happened! It was allowed! Even the most high energy rogues had to take days off sometimes. There was a marathon of some awful reality show on the TV - oh, also, she had a TV now, a vintage one with a great aesthetic and terrible reception! - and she had a comfy onesie on and a takeout order on the way.

What more could a girl need?

Harley still managed to snicker a little, even as she kissed him, slow and playful.

That was a softer sound.

Marc kissed her back, folding her into his arms. Playful wasn't quite his speed, but he could do slow easily enough.

And it was fine! Harley was used to being the person with the more playful energy, anyway - it was part of why some people found her so damn vexin'.

Plus, you know. She was trying to melt into his arms again, so he had that going for him.

Melting Marc could handle. Or at least being the person melted on. If the person doing the melting was, yanno, different from other people in some way. Maybe he could be into it okay with it.

As she could probably tell from the way he kissed her while one hand slowly moved up and down her back. He was okay with it. Maybe more than okay.

More than okay seemed pretty good.

Harley's hand had found his shoulder, and her thumb was rubbing back and forth against it. Soothing, easy.

"You're not bad," Marc told her between kisses. Might've been a little nuzzling of her cheek too.

"You're not half terrible yourself, sweetie," Harley murmured.

Definitely with a little nuzzling in return.

"Guess I gotta try harder," Marc said.

To be good? To be terrible? Hard to say.

"Baby, you were plenty hard."

What?

That got a snort out of him that could be interpreted as a laugh.

"Nobody but you to blame."

Harley kissed the corner of his mouth as he not-laughed. "And damn proud of it, too!"

"You do good work," Marc said, giving her more of an actual grin this time. "You can be."

Harley grinned back. She even lifted her head a little more properly so that he could see it.

"Oooh, an actual compliment! Must've got ya good!"

"I can take it back if you want," Marc said, not remotely serious.

Harley prodded him in the shoulder. "Don't you dare! This is my proud moment of triumph and I deserve it!"

"Yes, ma'am," Marc replied. There may have been another grin there. Just for her.

And Harley accepted it with much glee. "Good response," she decided. "Now I might actually use my skills on ya again!"

As if that hadn't always been the case.

"Gimme a minute at least," Marc said, not entirely serious. But he had met them before so, yanno.

"But that's so long to wait," Harley whined.

Not at all serious.

"Mediate or something," Marc suggested.

Extremely not serious. Particularly if anyone imagined him trying to meditate.

Yeah, Harley scoffed at it. "It's too loud in here for that."

And yes, she tapped her temple when she said 'in here'.

"Although I guess I could always busy myself with my usual dirty daydreamin'... That's sorta like meditation, right?"

Marc nodded, because he very much got the whole 'loud in here' thing.

"What? You don't like my conversation?" he asked, about the rest of it.

"Were you gonna converse with me all through meditation?"

"The way I do it, yeah," Marc said.

Probably not a shock that comparatively speaking Marc would rather talk than meditate.

"Uh huh," Harley replied, shifting until she could slide both hands on top of each other on his chest, then rest her chin on them. "So whatcha wanna talk about?"
