You asked Harley, it was a pretty good Sunday, so far.

She'd started out her day with no plan, and yet by happy accident (and it was definitely an accident, and not someone somewhere making room in a shared schedule to facilitate things, or anything deliberate on the part of anyone directly involved!) she'd run into Marc, and that had sparked a simple and easy plan after all: to drive him to the mainland for dinner, at a restaurant she'd overheard someone talking about on one of her off-island jaunts earlier in the week. It was supposed to be a family-run, no-nonsense little Italian place, and exactly the sort of thing Harley was in the mood for, especially right now with the company she had.

So life was indeed pretty good!

And Harley's mood wasn't soured even by finding out there was actually no parking available right by the restaurant. After some searching, she'd managed to find a spot some blocks away - which was to say, she'd sniped it from right under someone's nose with a truly reckless move. Which had led to some blaring horns from other cars. Which was all good in Harley's book! She had more important things to be thinking about, anyway!

"And the tiramisu's supposed to be amazing," she was saying, as they got out of the car. "Like, 'someone's 97-year-old tiny little Italian grandma made it' kind of amazing. D'you think they'd let me order that for an app and not just dessert?"

"So I gotta come up with something else to keep you interested," Marc replied.

"Just gotta be you," Harley retorted, and snagged a quick kiss for herself, since he was there. Her hand rubbed the back of his neck. "Trust me, you're turning me on enough with just that."

She rolled her hips up into his. The demonstrative power wasn't as great as it was when he did it, but it was still fun.

Marc meant to resume what he was doing. But Harley moving into him and their position made it much more appealing to stay where he was and keep kissing her while he rocked back.

On the plus side he could still use his hand to massage her breast while he did it.

And Harley could keep her hand on top of his, light enough to not hinder anything.

She could also kiss him with a bit more hunger. Joyful, though, if that was a thing.

It could be a thing. It could be a thing that was contagious, if the way Marc smiled against her lips was any indication. He rocked into her again, now starting an easy rhythm with the two of them, almost like dancing.

It had Harley practically grinning. The hand at his neck slid onto his cheek, to caress and to cradle.

Moving with him.

Marc rubbed his cheek into her hand, sort of saying hi even though it wasn't like either of them had gone anywhere. He kept kissing, soft and long, timing the rolling of her nipple between his fingers with the movement of his hips, doing what he could to give her slow waves of increasing pleasure.

See? See how he didn't need any freaky shit? See how he was drawing Harley into it with his clever timing, the way it made connections between parts of her body in ways that stoked the fire in her, made her exhale soft sighs into the kiss.

Her hand rubbed his cheek back, her fingertips brushing over his temple.

There was something about her being there. Something about the way she'd been there the whole night. Even with the fighting, the way they'd been able to work together without having done it before even to practice.

That feeling was what Marc wanted to keep going. That connection. He wanted to make it physical and not just - not just some nebulous thing that couldn't or wouldn't be defined.

He moved his other hand down to her thigh, encouraging her to press up even closer to him. Letting her feel how even all this, simple though it might be, was making him ache to be inside of her.

Harley inhaled through her nose in response - not sharp but deep, like she was savoring the feel of him against her, all hard and heated for her. Just her.

It was a heady feeling, one that made her give a slow squirm up into him. Trying to communicate something similar.

It communicated encouragement, that was for sure. Marc adjusted what he was doing to let her keep feeling that hardness and heat moving against her. Which meant he was feeling her against him at the same time and that was... not a little distracting. But in a good way. A feedback loop that had his breath hitching as he kept kissing her.

Harley absolutely sighed an eloquent 'fuuuck' somewhere in the middle of those kisses. It was a tiny noise, but full of wonder, somehow. Like she couldn't quite believe her luck, almost, or that he felt so good just rubbing against her.

The hand on his cheek slipped back into his hair, for something to hold.

That got an answering groan out of Marc. He kissed her with greater hunger. Not demanding. More that he was currently unsated and the only thing that could fill that yearning inside of him was her.

It was always fantastic when he got all hungry on her. Not that Harley wasn't also meeting him with more of the same, oh no: she wasn't demanding, either, but she was very greedily taking everything he was giving her.

And feeding it all right back to him.

Marc was going to take everything she was freely giving. He kissed her deep and firm, looking to make them both breathless. He moved faster against her. Not rapid, but a pace that was more about chasing those more intense sensations that were just out of reach.

Breathlessness was happening. So were more of Harley's little noises, all muffled against his mouth. A couple may have been words, but that was just... oh well.

Her hand was tight in his hair, not to hurt but to hold.

Marc sighed at the hold. Not unhappy. Rather like she was telling him something he needed to hear. He shifted position, changing so he could give attention to her other breast, not wanting parts of her to go untouched - both for her pleasure and for him to feed more of his senses.

He massaged her, his thumb brushing back and forth over her nipple as he kept moving into her.

When he moved, Harley's other hand finally slipped away from his hand. It wandered a bit, before sliding its way onto his shoulder, for another point at which to hold him. Rubbing his skin, getting a little more restless.

And then she rocked up into him a little again, and whoops, that was a whine.

That whine sent heat through Marc directly down to where he was hard and aching.

"Want me?" he asked between nipping at her lips. Not a taunt, asking permission.

Harley whined again, in response --

Only this one took the shape of words: "Need you."

Damn if she didn't have a way of distracting him from goals. Because her saying that made it impossible for Marc not to kiss her deep and hard, drawn in like he was magnetized and incapable of being anywhere else.

This one wasn't Harley's fault! It had been intended to very, very much keep him on-goal! But it was hard to object when her head was suddenly just so swimming with him, like she was helpless to do much except kiss him back. You didn't fight a tidal wave, after all.

Least of all when it felt this good.

Finally - okay admittedly when moving against her felt particularly good - Marc was able to get back on task. Though this did involve him trying to look for where she'd left the condoms in between kissing here.

Also, the box of condoms had returned onto the bedside table. Harley was yet to come up with a way to do anything to it to make it less easy to topple onto the floor, but there it was, and that was the important part.

Harley was trying not to be a distraction. Sort of. She was still kissing him, though.
