Somewhere on the Mainland; Sunday Early Evening
You asked Harley, it was a pretty good Sunday, so far.
She'd started out her day with no plan, and yet by happy accident (and it was definitely an accident, and not someone somewhere making room in a shared schedule to facilitate things, or anything deliberate on the part of anyone directly involved!) she'd run into Marc, and that had sparked a simple and easy plan after all: to drive him to the mainland for dinner, at a restaurant she'd overheard someone talking about on one of her off-island jaunts earlier in the week. It was supposed to be a family-run, no-nonsense little Italian place, and exactly the sort of thing Harley was in the mood for, especially right now with the company she had.
So life was indeed pretty good!
And Harley's mood wasn't soured even by finding out there was actually no parking available right by the restaurant. After some searching, she'd managed to find a spot some blocks away - which was to say, she'd sniped it from right under someone's nose with a truly reckless move. Which had led to some blaring horns from other cars. Which was all good in Harley's book! She had more important things to be thinking about, anyway!
"And the tiramisu's supposed to be amazing," she was saying, as they got out of the car. "Like, 'someone's 97-year-old tiny little Italian grandma made it' kind of amazing. D'you think they'd let me order that for an app and not just dessert?"

It had been kind of a long night that they'd had, hadn't it?

And yes, Harley did roll around a lot again. Maybe not as much as she often did? But there was no one awake during it to say for sure. But at some point she'd again also rolled back to him, and stayed.
... With her face smushed against his side and her body at some weird twisted sizeways angle, one foot almost hanging over the side of the bed, sure, but still!
It was morning, and there she was.

Less usual was that he was still asleep. Normally he woke up earlier than this regardless of where he was. Not today though. His eyes were still closed and he was breathing heavily in the way that only came with sleeping.

Until she figured out what was weird, anyway:
Marc was still asleep. It was later than the unwashed ass crack of dawn and Marc was asleep.
She was meticulous about keeping her surprised expression quiet. And no, that wouldn't have been much of a feat for other people, but it was to her, since as he'd already well noticed, she was almost always making noise.

And she was veery slow about turning her head, and slower still about pressing a little kiss against his side.
Just a soft little thing.

And really, all she was doing was trying not to give him too much of a jarring wakeup. So she moved slowly, pressing a few more soft, light kisses up along his side.

And hey, now she could actually see his face!

"Timesit?"

She sounded almost impressed.

"Monday?"

"Yeah, not that much later."

To that end, he wrapped his arm tighter around Harley. "Morning."
Hopefully it was still morning.

Harley scooted herself a little further up in his embrace, so that she could better face him.
"Morning," she replied, sunnily. "Sleep well?"
no subject
"Yeah," he said, now that he was awake enough to make that judgement call. "You?"
no subject
No, like a restless toddler who nevertheless somehow managed to get quality sleep.

(Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for her makeup. Although for having been fought, had sex, and slept in, it could've been worse!)
She swayed into the touching a little. "Always sleep best when there's been violence and sex."

The answer was no.
