Harley had spent most of the weekend on the mainland. Not just Baltimore, either - she'd taken the kid out on a little road trip. Yanno, for life lessons! Most of them criminal, of course, but that was sort of how their mentorship worked, so someone else could handle the boring stuff. Anyway, they'd had fun!

So much of it, in fact, that Harley had only landed back on the island late on Monday evening. Technically probably Tuesday? Which meant that after she'd passed out and slept her fill, the day was already well on its way. She rolled groggily out of bed, shambled her way into the living room --

And groaned when she saw the glitter bomb still waiting on the coffee table, and not downstairs attached to the front door ready to explode on Frenchie if he showed up again this week. Whether he'd already shown up or not, Harley was not in a state to go set it up now.

She shuffled around some more, in search of her phone, which she found discarded on the kitchen counter. No calls, no messages apart from Cass informing her she'd ordered breakfast delivery on Harley's account. Harley looked at the phone for a long moment more anyway, tapping her thumb against the side of it in thought. Groggy, still sleepy, not yet caffeinated thought.

And pulled up a number she'd had for a while but never actually texted before.

Did this still count as distraction? At least it was distraction with a purpose, if anything.

Which was to say Harley had given up on her lean in response to his pulling. Definitely didn't count as leaning anymore if your chest was all pressed up against someone else's, she was pretty sure. But it did count as a wonderful feeling, and she was all for that!

Which she hoped to show in how she kissed him back. And how she let him look for whatever he needed.

She wanted to be the one who could provide it.

Somehow that managed to be conveyed in the kiss? There was a tension in Marc that eased as soon as he and Harley did a something. Some little movement or sound or thing that was like pushing a button and making the need go away.

Well, the need that had made Marc look for something. The need to touch Harley and get as close as possible was only getting stronger. As was the way Marc held her since hey: she was in his arms and he knew she liked that.

More than liked, really. Something in her eased every time he had a firm hold on her. Harley had never bothered trying to pinpoint what it actually was that felt so good about it, but the answer was likely somewhere between the physical pressure and the feeling of being wanted to stay.

Some of which got reflected outward, into the kiss, in actions but also --

"All ya gotta do," Harley mumbled, breathless and deeply distracted, "is be right here with me."

"I can do that," Marc told her. As a guy who had experience not being places, including in control of his own body, he got why being here could matter.

Not that he had anything trying to make him leave. But still. It wasn't a meaningless promise.

Harley smiled, and pecked another kiss on his lips. "Good."

That sounded like it came right from the heart.

"Now lemme up for just as long as it takes me to get this damn rubber on ya, and you can hold me just as much as ya like, after."

... That, too, but in a different way.

Marc made a show of taking his hands off her. He did not do the same for the heated way he watched her though.

And he would just have to guess which one of those was the cause of Harley's absolutely wicked smirk as she sat up more.

After all the stalling they'd been doing, she wasted no time in getting the condom on him. And then she wasted even less - since she had no need to be careful in the same way - shifting forward and off of his thighs, finally, lining their bodies up, guiding his dick to her --

And then sinking down on it with a groan that sounded like relief. Looked like it, too, with the way her eyes fluttered closed and her lips hung open.

Harley's groan was not a solo act. After the buildup and the distractions, finally feeling her hot and tight around him was enough to get even Marc to make some noise.

He moved his hands to her hips. Helping guide her if needed, simply touching if not. And he watched her, eyes dark and not interested in anything else.

"Now you're where you belong," Harley sighed, as her eyes opened again. She smiled, wide and bright and pleased again as she took a moment to adjust, or possibly just to savor.

She brushed her hands over his on her hips.

Marc quirked his eyebrows up, bemused. "This exact spot, huh?"

He stressed that with a lift of his hips.

Answer to his question or just a reaction to the movement inside her?

Clearly both!

"C'mon, I've been lookin' forward to this all morning long."

"So what's another minute?" Marc countered. Though he did it while moving up into her again so it was clearly just talk.

Harley snickered as she leaned forward, settling her hands onto his chest for support, for now.

"Am I detecting someone bein' a little restless?"

Of course, she finally moved her hips against his as soon as she said that, complete with a joyful little moan.

"If you can't feel me move my skills have gone to shit," Marc replied. He lifted a lot more pointedly with that one.

So Harley laughed, with a bit of a moany quality to that as well.

And rolled her hips right into the lift. To really drive the point - and/or him - home.

Marc could match that movement, roll for roll. Almost like he was starting to learn and remember what particular things she was into.

Didn't hurt that it was good for him too. A mutual thing, really. Like the way he ran his hands up and down her thighs to both caress her and enjoy the feel of her muscles as she moved.

They were strong thighs, good thighs, under the pale skin and the prison tattoos. You asked Harley, they deserved a little love and attention.

She was grinning down at him as she kept moving. No particular reason, beyond that she was happy.

Marc didn't mind the pale skin or the tats either. Harley had a vibe. If he wasn't into it he wouldn't be here.

Marc moved his hands up again, caressing her thighs all the way up to her hips, then held on as he pulled her down into him at the same time as he lifted up into her.

Harley made another appreciative noise that seemed to come from somewhere low in her chest.

Coincidentally, her nails dug into his chest a little. She needed more support, clearly! Helped with balance!

Was likely to leave little red marks behind, but that was just how things went.

To which Marc was going to dig his hands tighter into her hips. Not bruising, but it might possibly leave some brief redness on extra pale skin.

Either way he was going to use that leverage to drive her even harder into him as he moved up.

Harley yelped. But in the good way! You could easily tell by the breathless laugh right after.

"Have ya ever heard of not bein' on top?"

Sounded more like teasing for the sake of teasing than anything else, honestly.

"I'm the one on the bed," Marc said, sadly not joking in being that literal.

You know, Harley was beginning to pick up on that being a thing she should stay on the lookout for?

"Yes," she agreed, with a little downward thrust of her own just to punctuate it. "But there's being on top and then there's topping, yanno?"

She elicited a grunt out of the back of Marc's throat with that motion. A good one, for the record.

"Sure," Marc said. He clearly was still not getting the difference.

"Ooooh I know that one!" Harley exclaimed, far too excitedly. Although in her defense, there was little reason for her to not be excited about just about everything just now. "That's the 'sure' that comes out when you have no idea what the fuck I'm babblin' about!"

Yes, she did still manage more movement while saying that. It made some of the words a little breathy in places.
