Midnight Manor Laundry Room; Sunday Morning
Boy, had that gone poorly! Harley hadn't slept much, and some of the reasons why could maybe be inferred by how, come morning, her makeup looked like perhaps she'd been caught in a heavy bout of rain. Rain that also made your eyes look kinda red and puffy? It was Fandom, okay, genuinely much stranger things happened all the time! Leave her alone!
Also, thanks to the aforementioned lack of sleep, Harley wasn't actually feeling all that much better, come morning. She actually kind of felt like she needed to bite something.
Or maybe go egg the Wayne Foundation building in town.
Set something on fire?
... Or kick a dryer, apparently. Sorry about the occasional clanging noises (and the accompanying swearing), Midnightites! Midnighters? Midnightees...? People of Midnight. Sometimes you just had to laundry aggressively.
It was so much better than actually dealing with your feelings.

(Ignore any time spent with a certain cat belonging to Watts and Steven. Never happened.)
Was there a stray hair on Harley's face? Marc was brushing his fingers against her like there was regardless. "Whaddya want to do now?"

Probably not the hyena.

Hey, he got that sometimes it was hard to follow conversations. No judgement here.

Yes, funny how that worked.
She tilted her head way over to one side as if in great big thought, then shrugged. "Pack up the food and the laundry and head back to mine where there's actual comfy seating options?"

The laundry hadn't exactly been the actual priority at any point in this entire laundry trip.

Not because he was nice though.

"I'm full of surprises."

Also, she was clearly about to say something, but instead landed on, "Okay, pretend I had a very hilarious and very dirty joke to respond to that with, 'cause I can't put one together right now."

Don't ask why he didn't mind being around when she did.

But right now Harley gave him a firm nod, dropped the pancake box with the other container, and traipsed over to the machines to deal with all of her laundry.
