Causeway Parking Lot to the Mainland; Later Tuesday Afternoon

It might not have ultimately been too much of a surprise which car in the parking lot was Harley's current ride. At least if you happened to know the Chevy Impala was Dean's provided it was even present on Tuesday. The funky 1970s green Chevy Chevelle sedan (four doors, see what she'd said about the back seat?) was of course Harley's: a classic look, but not so flashy as to attract too much attention and immediately get her in trouble as soon as she'd grabbed it from where the very unfortunate previous owner had left it.

Although the main hint that it was hers was still probably that she'd parked her butt on the hood of the thing as she waited for Marc to get there.

Call it a freebie.

"Then after I'd like to remind myself what it feels like in places beside your mouth," Marc said.

Not that her mouth had been in any way disappointing.

"Oh, I was gonna say," Harley said immediately, eyebrows as comically high as they would go, "if we get back to mine and you don't find the time to toss me on the bed and have your way with me however you like, we're gonna have a problem!"

Why say 'I'd like that' when you could say all this instead?

"Or up against a wall?" Marc asked.

Again amazing how the memory worked with the right motivation.

"Either," Harley assured him. "Or both! We got time!"

She was pretty sure they did, anyway!

"I'm not objecting," Marc said. Steven didn't need the body back until tomorrow and Watts already knew Marc wasn't planning on coming home tonight. "All of that's probably better at your place. Only so much room even in this car."

"It doesn't have the walls for it," Harley had to sadly agree. Or at least with a wistful sigh.

And she patted a patch of seat beside her. "But it sure has proved itself good for something."

"Not how I expected the drive to go," Marc admitted.

Not that he was complaining.

"Rougher ride than you were expecting?"

"I was expecting the back seat," Marc replied.

You know what, extremely fair point. And it made Harley snicker far too much.

"Well it's just so far away..." she said, affecting a very theatrical whine to her voice.

"Takes time too," Marc said. He lightly ran his fingertips along the back of her neck. "I'm good with how we played it."

"Oh, I felt how good you were with it," Harley sighed, letting her head slump against his shoulder. "Good and hard."

"And people keep saying I need to talk," Marc said, making a scoffing sound.

Harley snorted. "Sometimes you do," she said. "And sometimes you just gotta get real into things, and then real into me, and it does the talking for ya."

She sounded pleased.

"You do draw the attention," Marc said. He drew his thumbnail up along the column of her neck. Not scratching, just appreciative.

Harley even closed her eyes for the moment, to take that nice little sensation in.

"I do?" she teased. "Do I get distracting?"

He might not say much but he had said that.

"You get very interesting," Marc said. And look at him with a new word.

"Interesting, huh?" Harley echoed, her lips tugging into a grin again. "Well damn, look at what a little car time can do!"

"It's not the car," Marc told her. "Locations get boring in comparison."

"It's just lil' old me, then?"

She didn't sound surprised, actually.

Marc massaged just under her hairline. Not thinking about it, it just happened.

"It's a nice car but that's not what does it for me."

Harley wasn't thinking about it, either. She just melted into his side as a result.

"It's the tits, isn't it?"

Not a serious question, no.

"Yours are better," Marc replied without hesitation.

"Oh, they better be if you ever wanna see 'em again!" Harley replied, but there was a laugh mixed in with the words. "It's a fine car but the girls need a little respect."

And a thoughtful pause.

"In this case! There's ways to disrespect them that are negotiable."

"I figured you'd let me know if I wasn't treating 'em right," Marc said. He used more of his fingernails to trace patterns along her neck. Again not scratching, just touching.
