Once they were there, Marc pressed her up against that wall, leaning in close. "Maybe I just like thinking of you doing something with your hands."

"And paperwork's the best you can think of?" Harley teased, because she had to. Just ignore the immediate spark in her eyes when her back pressed against the wall. (Or maybe don't?) "I know we've had some trouble with you and your imagination, but that... That's just a whole other level."

Marc wasn't ignoring it. Not with the way he moved his hands to her hips to help hold her in place. Of course his hips were doing that as well but why do things halfway?

"So what I'm hearing is I can do what I want with you," Marc said. "'cause you're not busy."

Why indeed! Harley enjoyed being securely in place, at least like this.

One of her hands came up to cup his cheek.

"You can try whatever you want with me," she corrected him, sweetly but with a slight edge. "Which so far sounds like you're gonna ask me to do your taxes, next."

"Copy that," Marc said, to show he'd heard her correction. He made a mental note to adjust the dirty talk accordingly. He was still trying to find the right approach to make sure she knew he was making it clear he wanted her - that she was desirable - without hitting any of those vulnerable spots she wanted to pretend weren't there. Easy enough to dial that particular approach back.

(Not that Marc had any personal experiences with defense mechanisms over vulnerable spots, of course.)

"What if what I wanted to try, was this?" he asked, and he lifted her up against the wall so she could be eye to eye with him. Because there'd been that whole arm and leg thing she'd been doing downstairs and he hadn't minded it at all.

Harley had some history with men - well, mainly just the one - doimg what they wanted to her, so the confirmation that he'd heard her without having to make it a thing?

It was good.

And so was what he was doing. Harley made a brief startled 'eep!' of a noise when her feet left the floor, then immediately looked delighted. "Oh, that works," she just about purred, already using all that gymnastics core strength to bring her legs up to where they clearly belonged, around him.

Marc was an asshole but he wasn't that kind of asshole. Ultimately what he'd been looking to do was make sure Harley felt safe and happy. He'd just fucked it up last week by assuming on her behalf how to do it. Marc was forever a man possessed of good intentions with a seriously hit or miss track record on actually managing to accomplish them. Especially with people who were close to him.

But that was neither here nor there. Because at the moment he had a Harley wrapped around him and that was much more interesting. Especially when he could press her tight up against that wall and get reacquainted with what her mouth felt like.

It was a mouth that was real willing to give him whatever he wanted there, at least.

Harley went into it both hungry and greedy from the get-go, while her ams found their rightful place around his neck again.

Harley's greed relit the embers of Marc's own. Not that they'd dampened by much, but that inner fire to have as much of Harley as he could was burning hotter than before.

Marc hiked her up again, lifting her enough he could drop his hands down and hold her up not just by pressing her tight against the wall but by having his hands on her very shapely backside.

In case the gesture wasn't enough to give a hint, the way Marc kissed her even harder probably helped show it was a part of her he'd been thinking of getting a better appreciation of for a hell of a lot longer than he would've admitted before today.

Okay but the kissing was keeping Harley from grinning the way she suddenly wanted to. What a tragedy.

Oh well, maybe she could convey something cheerfully smug in the way she kissed him back. The mirrored fervor was certainly communicating a thing or two about how much she appreciated having hands on her.

... Oh right, hands. Scratching at the back of his neck seemed to have worked downstairs. Doing it again right now definitely counted as good communication.

It certainly was if the low groan Marc gave was any indication. In case it wasn't, he also ground his hips against her. Something which perhaps helped demonstrate that those muscles of his weren't limited to his arms.

Also that yes, he was unmistakably enjoying himself.

"Oh, hello there," Harley managed, breathlessly, somewhere in the middle of everything. Some things you just had to acknowledge and appreciate in words. "More of that."

Her enjoyment was not so... physically obvious for him (yet), but it was definitely there and happening.

Marc was more than happy to repeat the gesture before replying, "I'd like more of you too, Doc."

Which was all the warning she was going to get that he was carrying her over to her bed now.

So Harley went from giving a happy groan to clinging to him that much harder (which wasn't exactly a hardship).

The door into the bedroom was conveniently both close by and open, and the big bed within still unmade from the previous night's sleep.

Marc made note of that groan because he definitely wanted to hear it again.

Bed first though. Which luckily wasn't far and he knew where to go, because he felt no need to stop kissing her on the way. Not when her clinging to him was rapidly becoming one of his favorite sensations.

Once they were at the bed Marc immediately tipped them both over so that Harley's back was on the mattress and Marc was right on top of her.

And no, he hadn't changed the way he was holding her yet. He liked where his hands were just fine.

What a funny coincidence, Harley also liked feeling them there just fine! So he was golden.

Harley chuckled low in her throat as he tipped them onto the bed, and gave his bottom lip a few teasing bites, while her legs settled around him with less of a mind on how to hold on to him, and more just... what felt nice.

It wasn't any less tight, though. She had muscles, too!

And Marc enjoyed those muscles. And those bites. Which he showed by trying to elicit another one of those groans from her. This time taking advantage of their position so that when he rocked into her he also lifted her hips up and toward him to help her better enjoy his appreciation.

Well that certainly worked. And Harley did groan - but also squirmed against him (because greedy) and dug her nails more into his skin.

Which was likely even better.

Marc didn't mind Harley being greedy at all. Both in principle, but also because he wanted to make damn sure nothing happened that she wasn't fully enjoying and feeling happy about. Nothing that even remotely brushed up against those vulnerable spots if he could help it.

Which was why even though he had plenty of thoughts of amping things up to that mack tuck level she mentioned earlier - and that was by no means being ruled out for later - right now Marc was going to take his time.

And if that meant lingering over things he was trying to make sure he was getting nothing but hot and greedy reactions - well that was not exactly a hardship.

He'd also make sure to give feedback of his own. Like biting at her lips in response to her fingernails. And lifting her up into him again, this time harder but also much slower so she could really feel that friction.

It was slower, and somehow the noise Harley made was slower, too. Kind of a whimper against his lips, but very hard to mistake for anything other than pleasure. Friction, pressure, all of it causing the best kind of tingling warmth right in her core.

"Aw, fuck," she sighed, inanely, right before pouring some more of a similar sentiment into kissing him. He could be like this and he'd tried to keep it from her?

There was something so innately Harley about a swear that was also a sigh that Marc couldn't help but smile against her lips.

He gave her mouth a light bite, moving into her again, just as slow but with more of an arc right when he was hitting the sweet spot, giving her more than a simple back and forth.

It was maddening.

And Harley loved that, even as it was slowly making her more restless underneath him. A little more squirmy.

Her fingertips found their way just barely under the collar of his shirt, finding more skin to scratch at.

Harley got rewarded with a groan from Marc and him pressing in again.

Something about seeing her enjoy herself and get worked up like this was really doing it for him though. So, with an impulse he hoped wouldn't backfire on him, he murmured, "Lemme take care of you" while lingering as he was rocked up against her, making it clear he didn't mean take care as an offer to do her taxes.

Harley was the kind of gal who could go a few rounds, right?

Oh, to suggest otherwise would've been ludicrous!

But did he know how many times over the course of Harley's life people had offered to take care of her, in any context? Even to do her taxes? And sounding like they actually wanted to and planned to? Not many.

So even in the middle of all of this, Harley felt a sudden lump in her throat. And then managed to both kiss him feverishly and nod several times, because yes. Yes, please.

Good. Because make no mistake, Marc had some strong opinions here about things he'd love to do, see, and have done by her. But right now the only thing he wanted to focus on was making her feel good.

(Not that he wasn't enjoying himself. Little bit painfully so. But nothing he couldn't handle. Especially when watching her like this was its own reward.)

Marc needed to move for what he had in mind. But before he did he said, "Not going anywhere, promise" to hopefully ease any anxiety she might feel when he shifted the two of them on the bed. He took advantage of that unmade blanket to give her something to rest her hips on, while he moved mover, lying down on his right side, flush up against her left. He kept his left leg between hers, rocking again to show that friction wasn't going away.

With one of his hands now free, he moved it slowly up her body. A long caress up her side to ultimately brush his fingers against her neck as they kissed.
