The Dream House was gone by morning, replaced again with the antique store and the apartment above it, both with all four walls intact, and the color scheme decidedly less pink.

And in said apartment, late in the morning, Harley woke up with a start. Like fully bolting upright and everything, with a gasp.

"... Barbie looks like me."

She couldn't believe it. She brought her hands up to her face, smooshing her cheeks.

"Like me."

This jaw! These cheekbones under her skin!

Something about it was making her eyes well up.

At least, until something else about the weekend came back to her. "Bruce!" Oh, God, he'd been eating something obviously plastic, all weekend long! Harley scrambled out of bed to find him - only to, yes, find him curled up in one of his usual spots, seemingly right as rain.

She still ended up taking him on a long walk around town. It took a while for her to be convinced that just as magically as he'd turned into a toy dog for the weekend, whatever the plastic stuff he'd been eating (and, to be fair, pooping out at what seemed like an alarming rate for a fully functioning gastric system) had just as magically turned into actually edible stuff in his guts when he'd turned back. He seemed fine! He was leaving behind dog shit that was the usual level of disgusting!

Still, between the long walk and then breakfast for both him and herself, the morning had already turned into the afternoon by the time something occurred to Harley, and sent her bolting down the stairs into the store.

There, she found the display of dolls of varying ages and kinds.

And there, tucked near the back, was a Barbie. Harley carefully pulled her out from between a Victorian-ish porcelain doll and a fairly creepy 1950s baby, and smiled down at her.

It was a little watery, but there was no one here to see it, was there?

"Oh, there you are."

Something in her chest ached a little.

"Oh my God, yes," Harley said - or tried to, anyway.

It kinda got garbled into a moan halfway through. He'd given her a jolt of something good, right there.

"Just human," Marc said. Because he was hilarious. But he at least repeated the movement for her again so he wasn't that much of an asshole.

"Menace," Harley retorted anyway, although it was mixed with a laugh and a moan, and also one of her hands finally left his hair so she could grab some support from the back of the couch instead.

Things were clearly getting serious, between that and the beginnings of a tremble in her thighs.

That maybe got something like a laugh out of Marc in return. He placed a loud kiss behind her ear as he increased the pace of his hand.

"If I was a real menace I'd stop."

It was impossible to tell which thing Harley's squeal was in response to. So best just assume it went for all of it.

'Don't you d--dare stop!"

Joking about it was bad enough!

"Wouldn't dream of it," Marc promised. He moved back to kissing her on the mouth as he kept rocking his hand against her. Not so hard she couldn't breathe though. The gasps and noises were too nice.

Good, because he was getting more of them. Even just Harley's breathing was more noisy gasps than anything else, not to mention the whimpers and moans and groans and whatever else was brought on by his faster pace. She was only barely kissing him back because she was only barely holding herself together --

And then she wasn't.

It was a sudden thing, less of an approaching edge and more a sudden drop into a climax, and tore an almost surprised noise out Harley's tensing body as it ripped through her. And sudden didn't mean bad - by the sound of it, sudden could mean amazing.

Marc immediately held her tighter when it hit her, his arm a solid brace against her back so she'd know she was secure and didn't have to worry about anything but what she was feeling. He kept working her with his other hand, helping her ride out all the sensations as they went through her.

He may have also murmured stuff like "Beautiful" as he placed kisses on her mouth and cheeks.

Harley's hips had stalled, and that just made his efforts all the more valuable with how they made her gasp and whimper and shiver in his embrace. He was really making a good case for why it was pretty great being Harley sometimes, as nice as it had been to be Barbie.

After what she would have claimed was half an eternity of bliss, she began to slump against him, trying to catch her breath. "Fuuuuck, Marc," she sighed into his neck, like the sweetest endearment. "Baby, you're the best."

Marc held her close, moving his one hand over to her thigh and using the one on her back to lazily rub up and down.

"Had to give you something worth more than a nickel."

Harley laughed, a little hoarse. "And what's testin' the wall gonna be worth, hmmh?"

"Priceless," Marc replied without missing a beat.

So Harley laughed louder, and more.

"Ohhhh, I'm holdin' ya to that!" she said, as if there had ever been evidence to make her doubt it. "I'll hold ya real close to that."

Marc wrapped both arms around her. "Close, huh?"

Perfect excuse for Harley to nuzzle her face all up into the crook of his neck. "Uh huh," she hummed, right there. "I know how you like to be when you get all balls deep into me. Ya like to be close."

"Hard to get closer," Marc pointed out. But it wasn't like he was disagreeing with her.

Harley didn't sound the least bit surprised.

"Oh, then you'd be surprised how easy it is to not get close with the rest of ya even when your dick and hips are."

"Ah," Marc said. That one... was hard to disagree with too. But he kept his reply to stroking her back as he held her.

"That's what I thought," Harley replied, and kissed his neck. A soft and warm gesture. "You're not like that."

Marc let his hand linger near the back of her neck before he resumed the lazy up and down stroking.

"Told you I wasn't into anything forgettable."

Which again was his way of agreeing with her.

Harley snorted. "Oh, sweetie," she said, "trust me, from my side there would be nothing forgettable about, say... getting a good ol' all-fours pounding from behind from ya." Always painting a picture, our Harley. (Also was this what he'd thought she was talking about?) "But I feel like you probably like it better when you can kiss me into oblivion while we're doing whatever it is we're doin'."

"You're the one who likes having me on top of you," Marc pointed out. "I'm aiming to please."

"I like plenty other things, too," Harley pointed out in return. "Ya just don't know them yet."

She loved that 'yet', for the record. But shhh.

"Guess I'll have to keep exploring," Marc said. He gave her a look that was not without promise.

"And I will gladly play the part of the unexplored wilderness for ya," Harley told him, and kissed him on the cheek. Loud and ridiculous, what else?
